John W. Conrad

John W. Conrad was born August 6, 1947, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Dale and Pauline (Knaub) Conrad and passed away on August 21, 2026, in Seward, Nebraska, at the age of 79.

John grew up in Lincoln and attended Lincoln Southeast High School and graduated from the class of 1966 before moving to Beaver Crossing, where he spent the rest of his life. He was a hardworking and dedicated farmer who loved working the land and continued farming until his retirement.

John enjoyed many things in life including fishing, hunting, riding his Harley, caring for his horses and Doberman dogs. Most of all, he treasured time with his family. John met Sharon Kay Scdoris and the two were married on May 1, 1968, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Together, they were blessed with two children, John and Becky. John’s family was his greatest joy, and he especially cherished the time he spent with his children and grandson, Jared.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Conrad, Beaver Crossing, NE; son John B. (Theresa) Conrad; daughter Becky Cheeks; grandson Jared Conrad, Beaver Crossing, NE; and his (favorite) sister Jan Conrad, Lincoln, NE.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Pauline Conrad. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

There will be a private family Graveside Service to be held at Blue Mound Cemetery.

Memorials are to be given to the family for a future designation.
