Mary Bolte

In Loving memory of Mary Ann Bolte.

Mary Ann Bolte, age 82 of Beaver Crossing, NE, was born in August 28, 1943 in York, Nebraska to Adolph “Shorty” and Emma Sophie Lierman. Mary was the youngest of four children and passed away at home on February 12th, 2026.

Mary was united in marriage to Don Bolte on May 1st in 1960 and to this union, a daughter Kim Marie and son Kelly Gene were born. Mary lived most of her life as a wonderful mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was widely known as an excellent cook, especially her homemade jellies, pickled beets and excellent fried catfish that her husband Don caught in the Blue River.

For many years, Mary worked as a Wal-Mart associate in Seward, Nebraska. Mary loved growing flowers and was especially proud of her many roses and irises. She delighted in spending time her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Goehner, NE.

Mary is survived by daughter Kim and husband Whit Sanders of Webb City, MO, and son Kelly and wife Donna Bolte of Dorchester, NE. Grandchildren Cody Bolte, Lincoln, NE, Austin Bolte and Adrienne Riley, Dorchester, NE, Jonathan and Lauren Sanders of Parker, CO, and Whitney Sanders, Rogers, AR, Balvina Ruby Bolte, Crete, NE, Jared Jensen, Dorchester, NE, Jordan Jensen of WI, Jason Jensen, Imperial, NE. Great-grandchildren Eva, Oliver, Jeremiah, Charlette, Wren, Saria, Zoe, Violet, Jaelynn and Jayden. Sister Maxine of Broadwell, Mesa, AZ, brother Dale Lierman, Phoenix, AZ and a host of other relatives and friends, especially Jean Eggleston, niece Debi Upton, her beloved dog of 10 years, “Taz”, and her Home Instead caregivers, especially Rachael.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don Bolte and brother Gene Lierman.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 21st at 11:00 am at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Goehner, Nebraska. There will be a private family graveside service prior to the celebration of life. This celebration of life service will be Live-streamed. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Beaver Crossing Fire & Rescue or The Holy Cross Lutheran Fund for the Youth Group National Gathering.
