Graveside services will be held at Pleasant Dale Cemetery on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.  with Pastor Kerry O’Bryant officiating.  No visitation.  Memorials may be directed in care of the family.    

            Craig L. Ashelford, 68, of Lincoln, passed away, Monday, October 7, 2019, at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln.  He was born November 8, 1950, in Urbana, Illinois to Lyle and Laura (McDaniel) Ashelford, the 2nd of 3 children.

           As a young boy, Craig attended Lincoln Public Schools, graduating from Lincoln High School with the class of 1969.  He furthered his education by attending the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, graduating in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  Craig later in life became a machinist for Cushman Manufacturing in Lincoln.  In his spare time, Craig enjoyed going out to the farm near Pleasant Dale where he especially liked raising asparagus and caring for his apple orchard.

           Craig is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Lyle and Kay Ashelford and Alan and Cheryl Ashelford, all of Lincoln and his 5 nieces and nephews.

           He was preceded in death by his parents.
