Lonnie L. Stutzman
Lonnie “Babe” Lee Stutzman was born May 17, 1939, in Milford, Nebraska to Jake and Mary (Danner) Stutzman, the youngest of 10 children, and passed away Monday, June 17, 2019, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Grand Island, Nebraska at the age of 80. He enlisted in the US Army on November 13, 1958 and was discharged on November 12, 1964 after serving in the Army reserves. Babe was a OTR truck driver for Alpo Foods of Crete and several other companies over the years. He enjoyed trips on his motorcycle, frequently taking trips around the country.
Survivors include his daughters, Donna and Tish, sister-in-law, Arla Stutzman, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Mary Stutzman, son, Tobie in 1988, his brothers and sisters, Thelma (Nick) Roth, Eldon Stutzman, Virgil Paul (Beulah) Stutzman, Wilbur (Phyllis) Stutzman, June (Wayne) Burkey, Moneda (Bud) Stutzman, Lou (Dee) Eicher, Delores (Burdette) Boshart and Harley Stutzman.
A graveside service will be held at East Fairview Cemetery, Rural Milford at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2019 with Pastor Tim Springer officiating. Memorials may be directed in care of the family for later designation. Lauber Funeral and Cremation Services, Milford, is entrusted with the care and arrangements.
