Russell Roth

–

Milford, Nebraska

It is with profound sadness that we announce that Russell Alan Roth, lovingly known to his family and friends as Russ, went to his heavenly home on September 8, 2026.

Russ was born on November 2, 1944, in rural Milford, Nebraska. He was a loving, spirited, and dedicated man whose warmth, humor, and generous nature touched the lives of all who knew him.

Russ had a deep love for his hometown of Milford, where he lived his entire life. He was a proud graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1963. It was also in Milford that Russ met the love of his life, Charlotte. Together, they shared 60 years of marriage and built a life centered around love, family, faith, and devotion. To their union, three sons were born: Jason, Jered, and Brent.

A farmer by trade and a mechanic by talent, Russ was known for his ability to fix just about anything. He was a steadfast and familiar figure in his community, and his dedication to his work reflected the same commitment he showed to his family, friends, and faith. Russ served as an elder at Bellwood Mennonite Church, where he cherished the relationships he formed and considered the Seeker's Sunday School class to be an extension of his family.

Russ was a man of many interests and passions. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. One of his favorite places to spend time was Johnson Lake, where he and his family enjoyed traveling and making memories in their camper. Russ's playful spirit was especially evident during family gatherings, where he was often the life of the party and could be found enjoying games of cards, working on puzzles, and sharing laughter with those around him.

Born into a musical family, Russ had a deep appreciation for music, particularly Gaither hymns and gospel harmonies. Many evenings were spent alongside Charlotte, ending the day together while listening to the music they both enjoyed.

Above all else, Russ will be remembered for the love he had for his family, his devotion to his faith, his strong work ethic, his sense of humor, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Russ is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Roth, Milford; sons Jason (Stacie) Roth, Milford; Jered (Dinorath) Roth, Lincoln; Brent (Stephanie) Roth, Milford; brother Cecil (Judy) Roth, Milford; sister Yvonne (Bob) Bontrager, Kansas; brothers and sisters-in-law Terry (Jo Ann) Roth, Lonnie (Char) Roth, Lincoln; grandchildren Briana Guzman, Lincoln; Brennan (Shae) Roth, Ceresco; Merissa Roth, Omaha; MiKhaila (Dillon) Pariseau, Fremont; Tyler Roth, Milford; Pavel (Cady) Patino, Omaha; Metzli (Fiancée Tyler) Burkdoll Patino; great-grandchildren Zoe and Felix Patino, Ariana Guzman, Finneaus and Alexander Pariseau, and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Delmer and Violet Roth, sister Lenore Meyer, in-laws Robert and Grace Roth, Gene and Diane Stutzman, Robert Roth Jr., and grandson Trevyn Roth.
