Eunice Eileen Stutzman was born June 20, 1931, in Shickley, Nebraska to Abraham and Emma (Eichelberger) Troyer, and passed away Friday, September 29, 2023, at the age of 92. Eunice was married to Leroy Stutzman on September 2, 1951. From this union five children were born: Doug, Tim, Karla, Brent, and Kimberly.
Shortly after their marriage, Eunice and Leroy lived on a farm near Friend, NE. In 1961, they moved to a farm near Dorchester until Leroy passed away in 2008. A few months after his passing, she moved to her home in Milford NE, where she lived up until the time of her passing.
Eunice worked as a waitress at Roth’s restaurant serving locals and travelers breakfast and lunch for over 30 years. She also played an active part of farm life and lending a second hand when needed. She loved preparing meals when extra hands were needed at times of harvesting or moving cattle several miles. She made countless trips to the parts store and trips to the planting or harvesting field to provide water and lunches.
Eunice's life was centered around family. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She enjoyed nothing more than preparing family meals and providing for everyone's needs. She never missed any of her children's sporting activities at school. She loved playing cards games, Dominoes, and doing puzzles with her friends and family. She is the reason her grandchildren enjoy card games and puzzles today.
In her spare time, she enjoyed watching sports, specifically Husker football and volleyball. She also enjoyed spending time with her sisters and childhood friend, Edna Lichti.
She is survived by her children Doug Stutzman, Milford, NE; Tim (Shayla) Stutzman, Dorchester, NE; Karla (Rick) Bell, Omaha, NE; Brent (Roxanne) Stutzman, Milford, NE; Kimberly (Kevin) Anderson, Omaha, NE; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; sisters Betty Springer, and Violet Stutzman. In-laws David Hershberger, Dorothy Gifford, Norma Stutzman, Mary Jane Stutzman, and Bill Armfield. Sister-in-law Norma Troyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents Abraham and Emma; Her husband Leroy; Daughter-in-law Christine Stutzman; and also preceded in death by numerous brothers, sisters, and in-laws.
