Everleigh Marie Paden

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Friend, with Msgr. Adrian Hrbek officiating.  Interment is in St Joseph Cemetery.  Visitation is Thursday at Lauber Funeral Home, Friend, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. 

Everleigh Marie Paden was born January 4, 2021 in Omaha, Nebraska to Brandi Scofield and Xavier Paden and gained her angel wings on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Omaha. 

Everleigh was born with dark blue eyes and a head full of beautiful black hair.  Throughout all of her medical hurdles she had to get through, Everleigh, or “Champ” as she was affectionately called, still maintained her little smile and her sweetness. Her loving facial expressions brought you in to her love and happiness.  Everleigh was blessed with the holy sacrament of baptism shortly before she passed. 

Survivors include her parents, Brandi and Xavier, Friend, her older sister, Taylyn “Toots” Paden, maternal grandmother, Dawn Christlieb, Friend, paternal grandmother, Jaymie Burks, Wathena, KS, paternal grandfather, Denny Burks, St. Joseph, MO, maternal great-grandmother, Mary Jane Baugh, Friend, paternal great-grandmother, Collene “Nan” Paden, St. Joseph, MO, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Everleigh was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Gerald “Jerry” Baugh, Michael O’Rourke and Dennis Burks, and other relatives.
