Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 24, 2021, at Friend Congregational Church with Pastor Tim Schrunk officiating. Visitation is Thursday, from 2-8:00 p.m. with family receiving relatives and friends from 6-8:00 p.m. at Lauber Funeral Home, Friend. A luncheon will be held after the services down in the fellowship hall of the church. Interment will be held at a later date in Andrew Cemetery, Friend. Pallbearers are Jay, Jared, Jordon Lawver, Jordan Foltz, Tanner Hedden and Mike Umstead.
Jodie Lynn Lawver was born March 28, 1972, in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Earl and Connie (Gerdes) Mosher, the youngest of three children, and passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021, at the age of 49.
As a young girl, Jodi attended grade school in Cozad and later moved with her family to Friend where she became a 1990 graduate of Friend High School. Jodi furthered her education by attending Hastings Community College where she received a degree in Early Childhood Development. She was united in marriage to Justin Lawver on July 17, 1993, at Saline Center Lodge and to this union three sons, Jay, Jared, and Jordon and daughters, Jennifer and Jewel, were born.
Together they lived in Friend where Jodi was employed at the Friend Manor and later managed Casey’s Convenience Store in Exeter. She loved children and later started a day-care business for a period of time until 2006. Her family was the center of her life and enjoyed being a loving wife and mother. She loved to fish, hunt, go on trips to the Rocky Mountains, riding horses and attending her children’s sporting events.
Jodi is survived by her husband, Justin, Friend; children, Jennifer Lawver, Broken Bow, Jay, Jared, Jordon and Jewel Lawver, all of Friend, her mother, Connie Mosher, also of Friend, sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky and Mark Bigelow, Milligan, Billy and Bert Beatham, York, parents-in-law, Leslie and Pamela Lawver, Friend, brothers-in-law and spouses, Jim and Stacy Lawver, and Dale and Rosie Lawver, all of Friend, several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Jodi was preceded in death by her father, Earl Mosher and her grandparents.
