Jon Leslie Stauffer was born July 7, 1947, in Friend, Nebraska to Clarence and Viola (Troyer) Stauffer, the 4th of 5 children and passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Ridgewood Care Center in Seward at the age of 74.

He attended Pleasant View Country School #47 near Milford and later attended Milford Public School, graduating with the class of 1965.  He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at Bellwood Mennonite Church.  He furthered his education by attending Southeast Community College, Milford, in automotive technology, graduating in 1967.

Jon was united in marriage to Karen Beck on April 6, 1968, in Archbold, OH, and to this union a daughter and two sons were born.  Together they lived on the Stauffer farm west of Milford where Jon farmed.  He was grateful that he had the opportunity to farm with his father and proud of the fact that the farm was recognized as a pioneer farm.  He eventually retired and enjoyed assisting his sons in the farming operation.  Jon worked part-time making deliveries for Seward Implement for a period of time.  He volunteered as a MDS church representative with Nebraska Agribility, NE Stroke Foundation, and the Mennonite Mutual Aid (Everance). He was a life-long member of the Bellwood Mennonite Church.  Jon was a humble farmer, faithful friend, loving husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa and a steadfast follower of Jesus.
