Keith Schweitzer Obituary

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2022, at East Fairview Mennonite Church, Milford.  Interment is in Salem Cemetery.  Visitation is 2-8:00 p.m. Sunday at Lauber Funeral Home, Milford, with family receiving relatives and friends from 6-8:00 p.m. all at the funeral home, and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Monday.  Memorials may be directed to the Heartland Cancer Foundation. 

 

Keith Alan Schweitzer was born August 24, 1967, in Friend, Nebraska to Gerald and Lois (Stutzman) Schweitzer, the 6th of 7 children. He passed away Wednesday, December 29th at his home in Milford after a courageous 3-year battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 54.  In his youth he accepted Christ as his Saviour and was baptized at West Fairview Mennonite Church and later attended Salem Country Church. He went to Centennial Public School, graduating with the class of 1985.

On June 19, 1993, he was united in marriage to Julie Kremer and to this union 4 daughters were born; Jenna, Krystal, Brittney and Kylie. Keith loved his family and encouraged each one to live for Christ. He showed his love for Christ by serving others. Keith enjoyed volunteering on the Beaver Crossing Rescue Unit and served over 25 years with the Lincoln Jail ministry. Keith worked various jobs throughout his lifetime, often in sales. He also enjoyed raising livestock and spending time working with his animals.

                Survivors include his wife Julie, of 28 years, Milford; daughters, Jenna, Krystal, Brittney and Kylie of Milford; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sheryl Schweitzer, Milford, Donna and Steve Roth, Wadena MN, Susan and Wendell Roth, Milford, Rita and Daniel Miller, Beaver Crossing; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Charleen Schweitzer, Milford; parents-in-law, Steve and Wanda Kremer, also of Milford; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Zach and Tammi Kremer, Jon and Janelle Oswald, Pat and Lish Kremer, Thad and Darla Kremer, all of Milford and a host of other relatives and friends.

                Keith was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Elwin, nephews, Trent Roth and Chad Martin.
