Linda K (Ziegler) Hess

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at Andrew Cemetery, Friend with Pastor Tim Schrunk officiating.  A visitation will be held prior to the graveside on Tuesday from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. at Lauber Funeral Home, Friend.  Memorials may be directed in care of the family. Pallbearers are:  Travis Ziegler, Timothy Fritz, Brett Cochran, Trent, Ernest Kucera and Richard Hagen.

Linda Katherine Ziegler was born December 7, 1965, in Friend, Nebraska to Allen and Ruth (Poff) Ziegler and passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Warren Memorial Hospital in Friend at the age of 55.

As a young girl, Linda attended Friend Public School and later graduated with the class of 1984.  She furthered her education by enrolling at Southeast Community College in Beatrice and Geneva, focusing on curriculum involving Medication Aid and EMT.  On April 23, 1994, she was united in marriage to Ronald Hess in Friend.  Together they lived in Friend where she was employed at the Bethesda Nursing Home in Exeter and later Warren Memorial Hospital in Friend.  Family was the center of her life and her adoption of Taeven Ziegler in 2014 was a testament of this love.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Survivors include her daughter and fiancé, Ashley Ziegler and Jeremy Fritz, both of Wilber, son, Taeven Ziegler, Friend, two granddaughters, Evelyn and Finlee Fritz, both of Wilber, brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Deb Ziegler, Friend, several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ronald in 1994.
