Private Family Graveside Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2020, at East Fairview Cemetery, Rural Milford with Pastor Kyle Roth officiating. There will be no public visitation. Memorials have been established to the church.
Lucille Stauffer was born July 5, 1928, at Chappell, Nebraska to Arthur and Evelyn Roth, the oldest of four children, and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at the Tabatha Care Center in Crete at the age of 92.
When she was nine, her family moved to Milford. Lucille enjoyed helping her family around the house and farm. She attended a country school through the eighth grade. Lucille was later united in marriage to Vern Stauffer on February 16, 1947. To this union two children, Charlene and Thomas were born. They made their home in the Milford area and was a lifetime member of East Fairview Mennonite Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Jim Stutzman, Friend, son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Carla Stauffer, Lincoln. Lucille was blessed with three granddaughters, Janel Stutzman, Jill and Nick Crow, all of Lincoln, Lindsey and Todd Kastl of Bruno. She was also blessed to be called “GG” by her four great-grandchildren, Harleigh and Quinten Crow of Lincoln, Addison and McKelty Kastl of Bruno, her brother, Dennis (Phyllis) Roth and sister-in-law, Donna Roth.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vern in 2015, parents-in-law, Jacob and Lavina Stauffer, brother, Willis Roth, sister, Arlene (Merle) Stutzman, brother-in-law, Harold Roth, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ione and Perry Schweitzer, William Stauffer, Virginia and Carol Stauffer, Lester and Lola Kennel, Wallace and Edna Stauffer and Lyle and Ruth Schweitzer.
