Marion R. Gropp, 95 of Crete, NE formerly of Friend, NE passed away Tuesday July 12, 2022. Marion was born on December 16, 1925 to parents Edward and Anna (Schwabauer) Rohrig.

Marion graduated from Friend High School and then attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. She drove morning and afternoon bus routes for the Friend Public School as well as to and from sporting activities for 25 years. Following her retirement, Marion began her second career as Director of Friendship Terrace in Friend.

Growing her favorite flowers, roses, playing a mean game of cards with her friends were Marion’s hobbies.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents and husband Hubert.

 Marion is survived by son, Paul (Gail) Gropp, son, Phil Gropp, and daughter Pat Neal. Grandchildren include P.D. Gropp, Scott Gropp, Grant Burns, Apollo Neal and Cassie (Neal) Brown. Great grandchildren, Brittany Gropp, Danielle Gropp, Shelby Gropp, Lena Gropp, Della Gropp, Shay Bruns, Kellen Bruns, Korbin Neal, Jacoby Neal and Camar Brown. Marion is also survived by one sister and one brother, as well as several nieces and nephews.
