Patti Lynn Combs was born on October 29, 1957, in Friend, Nebraska, to Stan and Miriam (Frankforter) Weber and passed away on September 13, 2023, in Friend at the age of 65 years.
As a young girl she attended and graduated from Friend Public School. She was united in marriage to Jeff Combs in 1975 at the Friend Methodist Church and to this union two sons were born. Travis and Paul. Patti kept busy working a variety of jobs. In 1980 she worked at Johnson’s Pharmacy until 1985, Dr. George, 1985-1988, a secretary for the Friend Medical Center from 1988-2012, and Citizen’s Bank from 2013-2022. Patti was skilled in crafts, had a knack for gardening, and was talented in woodworking. She loved to keep up with her kids and grandchildren. One of her favorite past times were to watch her kids and grandkids play at ball games. Patti enjoyed the lake life, and visiting the Lake of the Ozarks with her family brought her great joy.
She is survived by her husband Jeff Combs, Friend, NE; Mother Merna Bell; children Travis (Heidi) Combs, York, NE; Paul (Kylie) Combs, Russellville, AR; grandchildren Cori Jo Combs, Kearney, NE; Kynli Combs, York, NE; Kain Combs, York, NE; Easton Combs, Russellville, AR; and Emmy Belle Combs. Sister Judy (Mark) Lafferty, Lincoln, NE; Sister-in-law Rhonda Combs; and other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Patti was preceded in death by her mother, Miriam and father, Stan Weber; sister Jan Wellman; Father-in-law Paul Combs; sister-in-law Brenda Combs; and brother-in-law John Combs.
Visitation will be held Sunday September 17, from 4-6 p. m. at the Friend Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the United Methodist Church in Friend on Monday, September 18, at 10:00 a.m.
