Wayne Roth

Services will be Tuesday August 2, 2022, 10:30am at East Fairview Mennonite Church, Milford.

Visitation Monday August 1, 2022, 2pm to 5pm at Lauber Funeral and Cremation Services, Milford, 6pm to 8pm at East Fairview Mennonite Church. The family will greet friends from 6-8pm at the Church.

Wayne Edward Roth was born November 9, 1933, on a farm near Milford to William and Emma Roth, the 6th of 7 children. Wayne passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday July 29, 2022, at the age of 88.

In his youth, Wayne accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at East Fairview Mennonite Church where he was a faithful member. On October 20, 1961, he was united in marriage to Aloha Roth. To this union was born five children, Doug, Steve, Brad, infant daughter, and Jeff.

Wayne provided for his family by farming, milking cows, and doing custom baling. He spent many years helping his brother, Les in moving houses. He found joy in lending a hand to anyone that had a need. Wayne was a quiet man that possessed a lot of wisdom, he had a big heart and quick wit that would always produce a smile. A lot of time was spent around the table with family and friends playing Rook, Dominos or the card game Baseball.

In his retirement Wayne spent time in his workshop creating barns, cupboards, fences, trucks, and many other items. These gifts, that are cherished memories, were given to children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many other friends. He loved driving out to the farm to check and make sure things were running smoothly, helping out wherever he could. Countless hours were spent at the kitchen table solving Sudoku and Word Search puzzles.

Wayne is survived by his, children and spouses, Doug, Milford, Steve and Annete, York, Brad and Roxie, and Jeff & Jamie, Milford. 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Robert) Jeppesen, Emily (Cayden) Riley, Julie (Daniel) Coffey, Makayla (Aaron) Zach, Trevor Roth, Tori Roth (fiancé Clay Nickels), Parker Roth, Keylie Roth, Taylon Roth, Carter Roth, Eeagan Roth, and honorary granddaughter Tiffany Bernasek (fiancé John White). 13 Great grandchildren. A sister-in-law Lauralee (Nyle) Kaufmann, Iowa City, IA, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law Lori (Earl) McCullough, Milford, many nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, wife Aloha, on July 17, 2022, infant daughter in 1971, parents in law, Jake and Esther Roth, brothers and sisters-in-law, Rollin and Doris Roth, George and Jean Roth, Harold and Bonnie Jean Roth and Leslie Roth, sisters and brothers-in-law, Leona and Daniel Miller, Irva and Daniel Ropp. Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Eleanor Roth, sister-in-law Fredetta Roth, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Arvilla and Wilton Schweitzer, Donna and Willis Roth.
